Our 5th or 6th Visit!

Our 5th or 6th stay here. Gorgeous weather this time. The lodge is as good as ever, extremely well equipped. A great base to visit beautiful little villages, larger towns, plus Hereford and Shrewsbury. Very relaxing site, woken up by bird and animal noises and the river, no traffic or people noise. About Ash Lodge

  • Sleeps: 4
  • Bedrooms: 2
  • Bathrooms: 1

The wrap-around sun deck at Ash Lodge affords wonderful views of the surrounding countryside and promises guests relaxation beside a flowing river on the edge of Clunton, in Shropshire. It's perfect for dining outdoors for lunches or dinners under a canopy of stars on balmy summer evenings. Ash Lodge stands on a small, private rural complex of ten privately owned lodges one of which is the warden's lodge who is on hand to look after the complex and its guests.

The Shopshire eco-lodge is decked in wood and blends perfectly with the surrounding Shropshire countryside, while the interior of the rural cottage provides modern comforts and sun-drenched spaces.

The single-storey, accessible property contains one double bedroom with en-suite and wonderful views of the river, and a twin bedroom with a sliding, mirrored wardrobe. The large bathroom contains bath, separate shower cubicle, WC, basin and heated towel rail.

Delicious meals can be prepared in the spacious, modern kitchen and enjoyed in the dining area or on the large deck with its fantastic views. The sitting area offers more wonderful views through its patio doors and contains flat-screen satellite TV, DVD, Blu-ray and leather sofas.

Extended stays are possible with the provision of off-road parking, WiFi, laundry facilities and bike storage. Furthermore, central heating ensures the riverside cottage can be enjoyed in any season.

The Clun Valley is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and offers visitors great cycling, fishing and wildlife viewing opportunities as well as walks to sites such as Clunton Coppice and the Iron Age fort at Bury Ditches.

Just five minutes back down the lane to the village, is a lovely village pub, serving a good variety of delicious meals and drinks and is highly recommended.

Please note, we regret that we are unable to welcome pets at Ash Lodge.

A Wonderful Lodge!

September 25th 2018

Our 2nd stay at this wonderful Lodge and we'll certainly be back again. It's just beautiful and so peaceful and you relax the moment you walk through the front door and hear the babbling river and the birdsong!
