This two-storey countryside cottage comfortably sleeps up to six guests. The cottage takes its name from the cascade of water that rushes through the stream that passes under a wooden footbridge directly outside Cascade Cottage’s front door.

Walk through the front door of this child-friendly cottage into the spacious kitchen with a large dining table, where homemade cake, bread, and jam will welcome you. The sitting room features exposed beams, two leather sofas, two armchairs, a wood-burning stove, and a Freeview TV with a DVD player.

Upstairs are two double bedrooms, each with Freeview TV and en-suite bathrooms, and a twin bedroom accessed via one of the double bedrooms. To the rear of the cottage is an enclosed courtyard where your dogs can roam whilst you sit and enjoy the lawned area of the garden—the perfect breakfast spot in the morning sunshine.

Exford features a traditional village green with a children’s play area, the village shop and a post office. A 10-minute drive leads to Alderman’s Barrow, where one can explore an incredible Bronze Age landscape with its mysterious stone settings, barrow, and hut circle, or take a relaxing walk along any of the Exmoor trails and bask in the moorland’s remoteness and tranquillity.
