Toll House, Nether Stowey

Toll House is a romantic and unique holiday cottage in the Quantock Hills. A listed former toll house in the picturesque West Somerset village of Nether Stowey, this small yet enchanting cottage dates back to the 18th century.

Toll House is on Nether Stowey's quiet high street in an amiable and attractive Somerset village at the foot of the Quantock Hills, England's first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Nether Stowey has three charming pubs, a post office, a tea shop and a grocery store. It is an ideal location for an outdoor break for couples as the area is exceptional for walking, riding and the unspoilt countryside.

The village's poetic history is well documented. It was Samuel Taylor Coleridge's former home, where he wrote the famous Kubla Kahn and The Rime of The Ancient Mariner. William Wordsworth also lived just three miles away.
