Explore the Exmoor coast from the comfort of Blueberry Cottage, a cosy home base in the medieval Somerset village of Old Cleeve perfectly situated to enjoy all that this picturesque region has to offer.
This two-storey coastal cottage was built in the 16th century and exudes the character of that period, with a thatched roof, low doorways, beamed ceilings, and beautiful cottage garden complete with a vegetable patch, cherry tree, and pond.
However, Blueberry Cottage also features plenty of modern amenities, such as underfloor heating and heated towel rack in the downstairs bathroom, wireless broadband, and large flat-screen TV with FreeSat in the lounge.
The side entrance accesses an amenity lobby with washing machine, leading to the well-equipped kitchen with cupboards fully stocked with kitchen essentials.
The staircase in the corner of the living area of this dog-friendly cottage leads to the landing with airing cupboard. The main bedroom upstairs includes a double bed, whilst the smaller bedroom has a single bed with extra pull-out that would comfortably accommodate two children.
Old Cleeve has been in existence since the 13th century, a tiny village built around the church of St. Andrew. Nearby Cleeve Abbey is one of the best-preserved medieval monastic sites in the country. Numerous National Trust walks extend from the village, leading to Exmoor National Park just a couple miles from Blueberry Cottage, whilst just over a mile down the road lies Blue Anchor Bay. Further afield, the seaside towns of Minehead and Watchet beckon.
