Coach House, Old Cleeve

2-Bedroom Somerset Holiday Cottage in Old Cleeve

The Coach House is a modern, well-equipped Somerset holiday home on the edge of the village of Old Cleeve that makes the ideal home base for exploring the Exmoor coast and the national park.

Set in a sunny, elevated position with stunning views of the surrounding countryside, this two-storey coastal cottage comfortably sleeps up to five guests. The well-appointed downstairs includes a spacious kitchen, dining room, and living room with FreeSat TV, while a separate lounge with a sofa bed and a gas fire is up a short flight of stairs just beyond the kitchen.

The stairs from the main entrance hallway lead to the first-floor landing area, which accesses two double bedrooms, each of which can be made up as twin beds or super-king. The upstairs bathroom includes an ample walk-in wardrobe space.

Coach House sits on the grounds of the owner’s large Edwardian House and shares a large garden with views across Exmoor. The countryside cottage has a small enclosed patio and courtyard area to the rear.

The medieval village of Old Cleeve features the 12th-century church of St. Andrew, whilst nearby Cleeve Abbey is one of the best-preserved monastic sites in Britain.

Walkers and bicyclists can explore the many trails crisscrossing Exmoor National Park, whilst golfers can play Minehead & West Somerset Golf Club, the second oldest course in the South West. Beachcombers have their choice of Minehead, Watchet, and Blue Anchor nearby.
