Coach House, Old Cleeve

The Coach House is a modern, well-equipped holiday cottage on the edge of the Somerset village of Old Cleeve that makes the ideal home base for exploring the Exmoor coast and the national park.

Set in a bright, elevated position providing stunning views of the surrounding countryside, this two-storey coastal cottage comfortably sleeps up to five guests. The well-appointed downstairs includes a spacious kitchen, dining room, and living room with FreeSat TV, whilst a separate lounge with sofa bed and gas fire is up a short flight of stairs just beyond the kitchen.

The stairs from the main entrance hallway lead to the first-floor landing area, which accesses two double bedrooms, each of which can be made up as twin beds or super-king. The upstairs bathroom includes a large walk-in wardrobe space.

Coach House sits on the grounds of the owner’s large Edwardian House and shares a large garden with views across Exmoor. The countryside cottage comes with its own small enclosed patio and courtyard area to the rear.

The medieval village of Old Cleeve features the 12th-century church of St. Andrew, whilst nearby Cleeve Abbey is one of the best-preserved monastic sites in Britain.

Walkers and bicyclists can explore the many trails crisscrossing Exmoor National Park, whilst golfers can play Minehead & West Somerset Golf Club, the second oldest course in the South West. Beachcombers have their choice of Minehead, Watchet, and Blue Anchor nearby.
