Stable Cottage is one of six self-catering cottages that make up the Little Quarme Cottage complex, set in a secluded south-facing location offering splendorous views of the surrounding countryside. A stunning barn conversion, this pet-friendly cottage shares walking trails that traverse the owner’s 17 acres of farmland, with sitting-out areas, barbecue, and access to a pond and stream on the grounds.

Kids of all ages can partake of the shared games room with table tennis, a small pool table, board games, and DVD player.

Enjoy cream tea upon your arrival at this two-storey child-friendly cottage, then kick back in the enclosed courtyard with sitting-out area and furniture. The open plan living area on the ground floor features a well-equipped kitchen, electric coal-effect fire enclosed in a stone fireplace, flat-screen Freeview TV, and convenient dining area. Two bedrooms upstairs (one king, one twin) and modern bathroom accommodate up to four guests.

Just a quarter-mile across grassy fields lies Wheddon Cross, the crossroads of the region, featuring a pub and all-weather court for playing tennis or basketball. Nearby Dunkery Beacon rises 1,705 feet above the park, home to Exmoor ponies and red deer.

A short drive away lies the seaside resort town of Minehead, where golfers can play Minehead & West Somerset Golf Club, the oldest club in the county, or head further afield to enjoy the beaches at Blue Anchor Bay, Bossington, and Porlock Weir.
