In this peaceful retreat, French windows open onto a courtyard garden with a table and chairs - the perfect spot to catch the sun and enjoy an evening drink with an unspoilt view of the river and its island, teeming with wildlife just a few feet away. The mill stream means that Puddle Cottage is not suitable for unsupervised children, but well behaved pets are welcome.
The centrally heated accommodation is part of an 18th century water mill and retains many original features including exposed beams. It is on three floors. There is a fully fitted kitchen (electric hob and oven), dining area seating four, and lounge space with a widescreen TV on the ground floor. The first floor has a double bed room with a separate shower room/ WC. On the top floor there is a twin/double bedroom, connecting to an en-suite bathroom, with a shower over the bath.
We are very happy to help with any enquiries and local information, and will always respect your privacy. In addition to basics, you will find a welcome hospitality gift including fruit and flowers.
Puddle Cottage is available for long and short stays. Changeover is on Fridays for weekly and weekend breaks. Mid-week breaks are Monday to Friday. Please do ask if you have any special dates that need accommodating. When possible we are happy to be flexible.

Perfect spot to explore Cotswolds!. Must see's Hailes Abbey/Church for Medieaval wall apintings. Bibury - for village, water, and trout. Do the drive from Bibury to Fossebridge for 'secret' villages. And Bourton on the water for all things 'Cotswols' but follow the river Windrush for off the beaten track places. Thanks for the lovely stay well equipped cottage. Great location.

We have had a very pleasant stay in Puddle Cottage. I have never stayed in a self-catering cottage with so many complimentary commodities. The cottage's peaceful setting and convenient for such a wide choice of places to visit. Thank you.

Although it was a very short stay the cottage was very comfortable and the landscape and surroundings very picturesque. Would definitely recommend to my family and friends. We were made very welcome and loved our visit to Shipston and our day trip into London.

Thank you so much for the wine, fruit, provisions, and flowers. Lovely accommodation in a charming hamlet. We enjoyed Warwick and Sudleye castles and a behind-the-scenes tour at the RSC. We hope to visit again. Isle of Man

We just wanted to send you a quick note of thanks, (as we were very rushed when leaving), for our stay at Tredington. We thought it was particularly lovely that you had taken the time to put up Christmas decorations, and leave us lovely chocolates and supplies - we really appreciated all of this. We loved the cottage and thought it very pretty, and we had everything we needed - a great stay and Christmas day went very well. We stay in cottages several times a year and this was one of the loveliest stays we have had.

Thank you for having us to stay in your comfortable holiday home. We did enjoy our break and thought Tredington a lovely village. Thank you too for the welcome pack you gave us - it was much appreciated. I hope you did not find too many of O's dog hairs downstairs or in the garden. Thankfully her training was so good as a guide dog that she does not look to go upstairs or on the furniture - it is an on-going battle with her moulting though! We had a good journey home on Tuesday stopping off at Goodrich where we did see the swallows you mentioned. One was in its nest as we walked through the entrance. We then visited Chepstow Castle before trundling our way back home. The girls were delighted with all the castles we managed to visit and are now planning their next expedition!

We meant to leave a comment in your guest book but forgot in our rush to get away. Just wanted to say we very much enjoyed our stay. The setting is beautiful and the cottage was very comfortable and had everything we could possibly need. We will definitely recommend you to friends and family and hope to visit again ourselves in the future.

Puddle Cottage Stay by LG on October 19th 2013
We enjoyed our stay at Puddle Cottage and thank you both for the goodies you left for us on our arrival, a lovely and kind gesture. Puddle Cottage is well placed in the Cotswolds, gave us everything we needed for a holiday with C and we found it to be a very well equipped holiday home with decent everything, not always what you find I'm afraid. We hope you have many more guests over the years to enjoy your part of the country.
What can one say? by C,A&M on September 28th 2013
A beautiful cottage in perfect peaceful surroundings. Sally & Jonathan make you so welcome with eggs & fruit (scones and crumble we made were delicious). With the weather on our side we've seen some great places, recommend the Batsford Arboretum - stunning. So glad we picked here. The best way to destress from work all year.
