Loved it so much wanted to stay longer

We loved this cottage, it was gorgeous and everything we wanted. Really well equipped with little extras like tea and Welsh cakes ready on arrival, with a welcome card. This was the only contact we had with the owners. There were fresh flowers in a vase a nice touch , games, books, dvds & cd's. A washing machine clothes line pegs washing powder, not that I wanted to be washing on holiday but it was so nice not to come home to a load.
the cottage has a single train railway line running outside the patio and garden. The 6am train woke us briefly but was really not a problem at all .
The property is so so quiet and peaceful but not more than 5 mins walk you are in the heart of lovely Betws y coed a busy place full of live with everything you need . We marveled at this many times. I can't speak highly enough of this rental cottage, we had such a wonderful time here in North Wales.
A small point being extra picky the bathroom was a bit dated and needed a bit more of a thorough clean . Not dirty as such just not as immaculately clean as the rest of the house. Like i say dated, toilet flush kept getting stuck so you had to get a knack of using it as it were. Shower not very powerful either.
These are really just minor points and should not put anyone of renting this gorgeous little gem

Good location

Cottage is comfortable, good parking which is a bonus in Betws-Y-Coed. however the description needs updating for Sykes cottages, there is a ceramic electric hob, not a bottled gas hob as in the details. We would certainly return there again.

Better than Expected

I rely on trip advisor reviews when traveling do happy to review.
I wasn't sure what to expect when I booked this cottage for our family of five. It was better than I'd hoped- clean, great location, well- equipped kitchen. Cottage is walking distance from several hiking trails and also in the center of town. There is information on nearby attractions available and also has wifi. The only negative is the bedding had a bottom sheet and a blanket, no top sheet, but it worked fine. It is a bit tucked away, but directions given were good; just follow carefully. We plan to return to Wales and would stay there again!

We were pleasantly surprised to find such a little oasis in the middle of a busy tourist village.

Mr Harper

The cottage was really comfortable and seemed roomy even with six of us. It was bright, light and airy even on the dullest days. Central location meant we could walk easily to the shops and attractions, yet it was still quiet and undisturbed. Private car parking was a bonus. All in all a lovely cottage - will recommend to friends! Many thanks to the owner.

Ms Dunn

Lovely location, very quiet even though in the centre of town.

Mr Grant

Lovely location, step out the door into one of the most desirable villages in North Wales, walking distance to the local pub and shops. The children enjoyed watching the miniature railway from the rear patio.

For a train fanatic family the location of the cottage was perfect. Our 3 year old was in ecstasy, Mainline train drivers waved and tooted at him every day. In a lovely setting with plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Watching the rabbits every morning was an unexpected bonus.

Mrs Brown

It was a fantastic week and the Cottage and location were just amazing. We met with the owners and everything was first class. We spent all week just watching wildlife and letting the world go by. The best holiday we have had in years, for all the right reasons; it was so homely and it was if it belonged to us! We thank the owners for making our special week very special! We felt and wanted our week to continue, the Cottage and location will get our top marks and we will recommend this property to others.
