Dawlish Warren

The seaside resort of Dawlish Warren lies on the South Devon coast, at the mouth of the River Exe. It features a huge sandspit which juts across the river mouth toward the town of Exmouth. The sandspit is home to a nature reserve where footpaths meander through dunes, mudflats and grasslands, and rare migratory wading birds and wildfowl are often spotted. On the doorstep of your holiday cottage in Dawlish Warren, the Blue Flag beach is a vast stretch of sand divided by wooden groynes and backed by grassy dunes and rows of colourfully painted beach huts. Swimming and sunbathing are popular, and kayaks and stand-up paddleboards can be hired from Exe Adventures.
