Your Shortlist on My Favourite Holiday Cottages

Learn how to:

• Gather all your favourite holiday cottages together in a single list, so you need never loose, forget, or spend time searching for them.

• Add or delete cottages from your shortlist.

• Save time by sending a single enquiry to all or selected cottages on your shortlist

Adding a Cottage from its Short Description

When you conduct an initial search for cottages, you will be presented with a list of cottages with 3 images and a short description. You can work your way through the whole list, selecting those you think might be a contender.

Once you have completed your initial search, you can open your shortlist and click on a cottage to open its main page for further information. If you decide it’s not the right one for you, click on the remove button.

To Add A Cottage to a Shortlist

This is easy. – you can save a cottage at the click of a button.

  1. From a Short Description: Click on ‘Add to My Favourites’ in the top right corner. This will add the cottage to your new list.

  2. If you look at the top right corner of the page, just above the main banner image, you will see an orange button with a white heart and a number next to it.

  3. The number indicates the number of cottages on your shortlist.

  4. Add as many as you like – there is no limit.

Saving Your Shortlist (for the 1st time)

This is also easy and will take around 30 seconds.

  1. Click on your Shortlist button. You should be able to see the cottages you have already selected.

  2. Click on the ‘Register or sign in to send group emails’ and add your name, email address and password.

  3. Check the Terms and Conditions and click the box to say you agree to them

  4. You’ll also need to click in the box to say that you are not a robot (this helps us to prevent spamming).

  5. Click on Register Account.

That’s it – you are all set up and ready to put your shortlist to work.

Once you have looked at the main information page for each cottage, you can decide whether you want to keep or delete it from your shortlist.

Using Your Shortlist to Send an Enquiry

To send an enquiry to all the cottages on your shortlist:

  1. Click on the orange button ‘Send an enquiry to all favourites’

  2. Complete the pop-up form and add your message. Keep it generic: As you are sending this to more than one cottage, remember not to include a specific cottage name.

  3. Click 'Send Enquiry'. Your message will be emailed directly to the owners or managers of your selected cottages.

To send an enquiry to a single cottage on your shortlist:

  1. Click on your chosen holiday cottage. This will open up its main page on the site.

  2. Scroll down to the enquiry box below the calendar and add your message. As you are logged in, the enquiry form should already contain your name and email address. All you need to do is add your message before sending it.

To remove a cottage from your shortlist:

  1. Click on the ‘Remove from favourites’ button opposite the cottage name – and away it goes.
