The Byre @ Keld Head Farm

Nestled on a working organic farm in the heart of the North York Moors National Park, The Byre is near the Great Fryup Dale in the civil parish of Danby, North Yorkshire. It is a perfect oasis for families and small groups to escape from everyday life.

This two-storey farm cottage features exposed beams, vaulted ceilings, and trusses, which are visible in the lounge. It is heated by a Bio Mass wood burner, which provides constant heat and plenty of hot water. Underfloor heating on the ground floor keeps this small cottage toasty and warm.

The open-plan living area includes a fully fitted kitchen, dining area, two cosy sofas, and a TV with a Freeview package. The ground-floor master features a king-size bed and adjoins a bathroom with a heated towel rail and shaver point, while the first-floor bedroom is heated with oil-fired radiators and comes with twin beds.

Step out the front door to find an enclosed lawned garden. Sit out on the paved patio with garden furniture and barbecue and dine alfresco whilst taking in the stunning views of the surrounding dales.

The Byre is just three miles from the village of Lealholm, a popular picnicking site along the River Esk. Further afield is the historic fishing port of Whitby, with its abbey ruins and working harbour, sandy beaches, and rock pools.
