Barn Cottage, Dobwalls

We were made to feel very welcome by the owners who live onsite. The welcome pack on arrival - milk, eggs and a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge were a very nice touch. The cottage was compact but very clean and sufficient for 2 people.

Lovely setting, perfect for getting around cornwall. The cottage was well equiped and really lovely, peaceful setting. the weather was gorgeous which made our week perfect,even had chance to use the BBQ provided. Thank you

Fabulous accomodation,clean,airy,every possible need thought of,tastefully decorated.Use of huge garden,containing goats,chickens,lovely to walk down and feed the goats in the mornings,and have fresh eggs for breakfast.Very quiet location,down a single track road,plenty of walks,2 pubs with good grub,a handy shop in the village.the owners were on hand for any information or help required,we have been to Cornwall many times,this was a complete delight,and would certainly spend another holiday there.

The cottage was extremely comfortable and every detail was thought of, including salt & pepper, tea towels etc etc. The owners were extremely pleasant and we were made to feel welcome and at home. Our every need was thought of. The cottage was in a lovely tranquil spot and very quiet. The only down side was it was placed an extremely long way for any sort of evening entertainment. There was a local pub but if you walked there it was up very dark narrow lanes. We are used to going out in the evening but found it very hard to do this with one person having to drive and cabs into Looe and back each night would have been very expensive.

This compact,cute home was in an excellent, central location for visiting all areas of Cornwall, which was lovely. I did miss having a washing machine. The owners, who live near, were very friendly and helpful but not intrusive.

Every thing was lovely except the narrow, long, unlit lane. Milk and a bottle of wine was left for us by Barry and his Wife ,Such a lovely Gesture , The place was spotless , and had every thing for a cozy stay , self catering , and will return again in the summer and Recommend the cottage , We are looking forward to returning .

Our second year staying here..fab little cottage in lovely setting..20 minutes from looe and within easy driving distance to lots of popular destinations. Thecottage itself is spotlessly clean and tidy..Barry and Janet the owners are fab and happy to help with any queries. We will be returning again in 2015!! Excellent!

The Cottage is cosy and is very well situated, at the edge of Dobwalls, so you've got a lovely view outside. It's also a very good location for touring east, south and north Cornwall.

The garden was great for our toddler. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. They gave us good local info and advice about routes to take.

This was a wonderful base to explore the south coast of Cornwall. The cottage was lovely - very well appointed, quiet and peaceful. Recommended.

A great deal of thought and effort has gone into making this cottage comfortable in every way. The owners were very helpful and did everything possible to make us welcome (tea, milk, and two bottles of wine awaited us!!)

A wonderful get-away from it all, quiet location, but not remote from the areas many natural attractions. Any worries about 'train noise' are totally unnecessary - nothing disturbed our peace! So many 'extras' provided from books, DVD's and games, to street maps, weather forcasts and even TV guide - we soon realised we'd packed too much! We're sorry to leave!

The clean well equipped cottage in a nice setting and the friendly and always willing to oblige hosts. the free, free range eggs were a nice touch too. first class.

I would definitely recommend this to everyone. Very peaceful and quiet and a great home away from home.

A great base to explore North, East and South Cornwall.

This was a fantastic cottage and location. The trains didn't bother us at all. The cottage was very clean and well equipped. the garden and BBQ was a lovely added extra.

A great Location in a very quiet and secluded area. There are many attractions to visit including Charlestown and Newquay zoo. Will visit again.

It was a restful, relaxed cottage in beautiful surroundings. It was ideally located to get to a number of places which made exploring Cornwall very easy.

The cottage was well placed for access to most parts of Cornwall. The access track was quite narrow but we never had to back up. The owners were very friendly, most welcoming and had even left basic provisions and a bottle of wine.

Excellent base for exploring the area and visiting attractions such as the Eden Project and the beautiful towns of Looe, Polperro and Fowey. The owners of the property have thought of everything and there was nothing that we needed that they had not already thought to provide. Excellent cottage and the best facilities we have had by far.
