La Folie is a stunning Victorian villa in one of Cornwall’s most sought-after areas. It offers breathtaking views of the estuary, a suntrap roof terrace, and a cosy yet luxurious atmosphere. The interior is bright and spacious, beautifully furnished, and equipped with all the home comforts you could ask for.

The house is over four floors and has three beautiful bedrooms, a fabulous kitchen/diner, two bathrooms, a large living room with plenty of seating, a decorative fireplace, and a smart TV with Freeview and DVD player. Bi-fold doors from the kitchen/diner lead out to a walled courtyard with outdoor furniture, and from there, you can walk up to the roof terrace to unwind in the sunshine and enjoy the incredible sea and estuary views.

La Folie can accommodate parties of six, with an extra child (up to the age of 12) on the daybed in the top bedroom if required. Just 50 yards from the villa is Whitehouse Beach, a lovely spot for a paddle or a swim and an excellent place to launch a kayak or SUP. Fowey, where La Folie is located, is a beautiful and peaceful destination on Cornwall’s south coast, with beautiful beaches and a unique atmosphere.

Parking is available with one allocated parking space. The house’s key safe is accessed via 32 steps, and the main front door/entrance is accessed via 20 steps. The property also has a utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge, and BBQ. The dining area is furnished with a large table and seating for eight, and the kitchen is amply equipped with a Bosch Tassimo coffee machine, fridge, freezer, two-door Rayburn cooker, induction hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner, and a selection of cookware, utensils, cutlery, crockery, and glassware.

Bedroom one is on the lower ground floor and furnished with a king-size bed, side tables with reading lamps, a free-standing wardrobe, a chest of drawers with a seat, and a mirror. Bedroom two is positioned on the upper ground floor with sea glimpses, furnished with a super king-size bed that can be separated into twin beds on request, side tables with reading lamps, a wardrobe, and a dressing table with a mirror. A hairdryer is provided. Bedroom three is located on the second/top floor with wonderful views over the estuary, furnished with twin beds and a daybed that can be used as a single bed for a child, a side table and lamps, a chest of drawers, and a TV with a DVD player.

Bathroom one is located on the first floor and has a walk-in shower with a handheld attachment, a hand basin, a cabinet with a mirror, a heated towel rail, and a WC. The family bathroom is a large contemporary bathroom on the upper ground floor with a walk-in shower and rain-head, a separate bathtub, a hand basin, a cabinet with a mirror, a heated towel rail, and a WC.

La Folie has three outside areas to enjoy, including a sea-facing balcony with a decorative iron balustrade and bistro setting accessed from the living room, a paved patio within a walled courtyard area with an outdoor dining set accessed from the kitchen/diner and a shower with both hot and cold water, and a private wraparound roof terrace with sun loungers showcasing fantastic views over the estuary and out to sea accessed up a flight of steps from the courtyard as well as from the living room
