Peaceful and tranquil

Upon arrival we were greeted by the owners of the cottage, lovely people, they gave us a guided tour of the premises and left in the kitchen was a bottle of wine and chocolates, a lovely thought.

The house was very comfortable, spacious, home from home, ideal for a large family, pets are welcomed with open arms. Linen provided in abundance, conservatory overlooks wonder views of the forest like setting, lots of ground to the property, all round a fabulous place for a holiday.

The location is great as a starting place to explore Cornwall, if you don't mind walking, there is a nice walk down to the village shops, pub which serves very good food, supermarkets are but a short ride away. Restaurants, places to visit are easily reached from here, great as a base.

The house is full of games for children, if you are a book worm, there are loads of books to read. The kitchen is well equipment, AGa stove takes a little getting use to if not used before, there is also a convensional cooker in the utility room, you couldn't want for anything else.

The whole holiday was fantastic, the only minor dislike about the property is that the kitchen is a little on the dark side if the sun is shining into the conservatory, other than that there is nothing to be found fault with this property what so every, plus it is being extended to cater for even bigger families.
Ground floor facilities would be ideal for someone who has difficulty with negotiating stairs, albeit not steep stairs, very slight climb. It also holds a small gym upstairs for those who are fitness freaks and miss their daily workout. You wouldn't wish for more.

A great place to spend time with our family altogether.

Chapel Green was a great place to stay at and as a base to visit the local small towns and harbours. The gym was a favourite with the older children and teenagers, as was the wi-fi connection. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. A welcome surprise were the wine, orange juice and milk in the fridge on arrival. We also made use of the gas barbecue a few evenings.

Wonderful Break

We stayed here end of May beginning of June, i meant to review earlier but things been a bit hectic with wedding plans lol. Anyway holiday at Chapel Green was fabulous, owners were so friendly but not over bearing. Cottage was comfortable and had everything we needed, especially the conservatory which was a wonderful place to sit and eat breakfast, lunch or just to relax in the evenings. It is near enough to tourist sites to not have to drive too far, but is also away from all the hustle and bustle so great to relax. We took our jack russell terrier and she soon settled after exploring the garden and then choosing her seat also in the conservatory lol. Access to shop and pub is a bit of a walk back to cottage but food in pub is worth the climb.

Excellent spacious property with good amenities, well situated as a base for visiting various tourist locations. Close to shop/pub. Very friendly owners who gave good advice on restaurants etc.

Mr Allen

The quiet private grounds. The facilities in the house. The very pleasant and amenable nature of the owners. Very relaxed experience.

Mr Salmon

The property was excellent- it easily accommodated 8 of us and considering that 2 of them were large, moody male 17 year olds, that was a miracle! The self contained kitchen/utility and conservatory were brilliant for our 2 Springers.

Mrs McGovern

Amazing house and surroundings. Everything you could possibly need was provided. The owners were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We will definitely rebook.

Ms Lodge

The property was fantastic and the owners were incredibly friendly and helpful.

The entire week was superb - the owners were helpful and friendly. The house was a dream, and so was the garden. The children had a fantastic holiday which meant that the parents were happy. Our dog was able to wander around the garden and house and had a ball!

Ms Fortune

Plenty of space in the property and cosy in the sitting room with the fire lit.

Ms Gilbert

The owners were very friendly without being intrusive. The garden was lovely and safe for my grandchildren. The location of the property was excellent for days out.

Mrs Wilkes

Beautiful, spacious house, in a great location with loads to see really nearby. The Eden project is just 15 minutes drive away and the charming Pentewan Sands and Mevagissey even nearer. We have fallen in love with Cornwall!

Mr Mahy

The size of the cottage meant that there was space for privacy when necessary. Close to the coast, very friendly owners. Very child friendly - plenty of games available.

Mrs McBeath

Lovely holiday, brilliant cottage. Owners welcoming and very friendly. Really did not want to come back home!

Mr Dandridge

The house is beautifully spacious, with plenty of room for our party of 10. A lovely conservatory where the adults could hang out while the children were rampaging in the sitting room/gym - when we were not sitting in the garden. The owners, who live on site, are absolutely lovely, very helpful but not intrusive and very laid back. The kitchen is extremely well equipped - more than enough of everything. The Aga was very popular. A convenient location for lots of lovely beaches and easy access to other parts of Cornwall. We had a great holiday.

Mrs Broadway

The house had everything you needed. The lounge is very cosy as well as the conservatory. The local pub you will find extremely friendly, everyone makes you feel welcome. The local beaches are good as is the local shop.

Mrs Arberry

Lovely cottage with period features and a great big lounge area which was important for us as a big group. Open views from the conservatory.

Mr Jain

There aren't enough words of praise for this particular property, it's location or the owners. We were greeted by the owners, shown around and made to feel extremely welcome and comfortable. The property itself is vast and the photographs really do not do its cosy yet spacious feel justice. Being in such a secluded and beautiful spot was such a treat and made it easier to relax, yet at the same time we were central to all the sights Cornwall has to offer. As soon as we arrived, we knew it would be tough to leave - even the dog was sorry to say goodbye, and we can't wait to book this exact property again for all these reasons and more.

Ms Counsell

"We were given a lovely welcome; a home from home atmosphere. There was plenty of room for a big family group. The owner was flexible and very helpful. The house was warm and had everything we needed for our weekend away."

Mr Oborne

This property is the best one that I have ever stayed in. I have stayed in many different places over the years, and can honestly say that this is true. It is really and truly beautiful. It was clean, spacious and beautifully furnished with lovely surroundings and plenty of parking. Everything was perfect. A big thank you to the owners who made us so welcome and were so friendly on our arrival.

Mrs Mcguiness

Wonderful location, with very helpful owners, cottage was a delight to stay at.

Mr New

Excellent cottage for a family get together. Great facilities and quiet location but close to many of Cornwall's great attractions. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to have a great break.

Dr Paterson

It was a fantastic holiday cottage, sheer luxury in very friendly location. The owners were a lovely couple who were there for us if we needed them and were kind and considerate. Will stay there again.

Mr James

The house was lovely, exactly what we needed for a family get together. The house was very spacious and comfortable and the owners were extremely helpful and friendly. And dog friendly!

Mrs Windsor

The house was very comfortable and furnished to very high standard. In particular the bedrooms, kitchen and bathrooms were great, and had a homely feel to them. The village was very picturesque, there were lovely walks and it was in proximity to great beaches and coastal walks. We didn't want to go home, had a great family break and will be recommending to family and friends.

Mr Watters

The property is absolutely stunning. We all had so much space and were never under each other's feet! Everyone had such a relaxed and fun time. There was lots of food, drink and laughter - just what the doctor ordered! I would definitely recommend this to others and will definitely return. We didn't want to leave!

Miss Parker

The owners were on site to help and solve problem, nothing was too much trouble for them. It is a lovely, spacious house with absolute peace. We had special requirements and these needs were met perfectly.

Mr Weir

Chapel Green had lots of space for everyone. The owners were willing to help when asked but were not intrusive. We felt very relaxed, the dogs and kids loved it as well. Would recommend to anyone.

Mrs Stevens

Chapel Green is a good sized house allowing four families plenty of their own space. The property has a safe garden for the children. It is in a great location, which allows for easy access to most of Cornwall. The owners were very nice.
