Ready for a wonderful family escape to South Derbyshire? Enjoy a stay at Mill Farm – The Farmhouse, a magnificent large cottage set amidst extensive gardens in the lovely hamlet of Milton, Derbyshire, just east of Repton and perfect for up to 10 guests.

This three-storey countryside cottage affords plenty of space for everyone to spread out comfortably, featuring homey touches like exposed beams and brick walls. With five spacious bedrooms and three bathrooms, Mill Farm – The Farmhouse is an ideal getaway with your loved ones and friends.

From the well-equipped kitchen, serve meals through the quaint hath to the dining room, with a long wooden dining table to seat everyone, or dine at the breakfast area with wood-burning stove. After your meal, head to the sitting area with brick feature fireplace and a flat-screen TV to catch up on your favourite show.

The main sitting room features plenty of plush seating, gas imitation Wood-burner and flat-screen TV, or entertain yourself by playing game of snooker in the first-floor snooker room with a drink at hand from the fabulous bar. Enjoy a long bath in the rolltop tub or take a relaxing soak in the hot tub on the deck.

The first floor of this pet-friendly cottage boasts a king-size master bedroom and two double bedrooms, with a twin bedroom and further double bedroom on the second floor beneath sloping eaves.

This property boasts widespread lawns where children and dogs can frolic in peace, as well as a pretty summerhouse to catch up on a good book and woodlands to explore on long walks.

Milton consists of about 60 dwellings just a mile down the road from Repton, the former capital of the Anglo-Saxon kingdom of Mercia and home to local pubs and a fish and chip shop. Nearby Calke Abbey, run by the National Trust, and Melbourne Hall make for wonderful day trips, or venture to the Peak District and take in the beauty of the national park. The large and historical village of nearby Repton, often described as one of Derbyshire’s most attractive villages, has a Saxon crypt in St. Wystans Church where Saxon kings were interred.
