Thatchers Cottage, sleeping up to six, is one of seven Devon cottages at Muddlebridge House, near Barnstaple. With an indoor swimming pool and two-acre garden, it is ideally situated for surfing, cycling, golf and fishing. Pets welcome.
Thatchers is a delightful converted carriage barn sleeping up to six guests in three bedrooms. The ground floor has an open-plan living area, looking out on to the garden, with lounge/dining-area and fully equipped kitchen. The master bedroom, with king-sized bed(5'),has an en-suite shower. There is also a separate bathroom. Guests have access to an indoor heated swimming pool and two acres or gardens in which to picnic and play.
The cottage is in a semi-rural position within easy access of North Devon's beautiful sandy beaches, moorland and tourist attractions. It is only a short walk from the nearby villages of Bickington and Fremington with local pubs, shops and restaurants. Wander down to Fremington Quay and enjoy a delicious lunch or cream tea at the popular cafe there, housed in a replica station rebuilt on the site of the old station. Take the opportunity to then walk or cycle along The Tarka Trail towards either Barnstaple or Instow, a pretty estuary village with scenic views, sand dunes and a good choice of pubs/restaurants.
