Set beside a babbling trout stream attached to a charming former mill, this small pet-friendly cottage sits tucked away down a meandering private lane. Large glazed double doors lead onto the open-plan studio living area, beautifully furnished with antiques and sumptuous fabrics, whilst White Company bed linen and towels are provided.
The bathroom features a double-ended roll-top bath, a Victorian chandelier with a dimmer, and a circular blue and white porcelain Georgian washstand with a double-handed pitcher beneath.
The well-equipped studio kitchen of this waterside cottage is tucked into the corner, and the television, DVD player, and radio are all discreetly placed yet easily accessible for use. Tea, coffee, and sugar are all provided.
Walk outside the double doors onto a patio area with a small table and built-in barbecue. Wooden sun loungers allow you to relax beside the stream and soak in the countryside air.
The Folly is part of Bratton Mill, set upon 28 tranquil acres of gardens and woodland teeming with wildlife. The cottage is within walking distance of Bratton Fleming, a medieval village with a store and post office, whilst the larger town of Barnstaple is 8 miles away. There are some beautiful woodland walks from the front door in all seasons.
The cottage lies amidst the splendour of the Devon countryside but is also close to the dramatic North Devon coast with its beautiful sandy beaches and dramatic cliffs, as well as Exmoor National Park, a unique landscape of moorland, valleys, and farmland.
