Situated in North Devon on the western edge of Exmoor National Park, Barn Cottage sits on the south end of a large former farmhouse in the small rural village of Brayford, Devon. It is the perfect home base for a relaxing holiday exploring the delights of North Devon beaches and Exmoor.

Climb the short steps to this pet-friendly cottage’s entrance and enter the well-equipped kitchen. A couple more steps lead into the living area, which features Freeview TV, a dining table, and beautiful southerly views across the gardens to the surrounding Devon countryside covered in primroses, violets, bluebells, and orchids.

Barn Cottage has three comfy bedrooms (one double and two singles) and a family bathroom. The entire property shares the gardens to the front of the cottage, which contain several beautiful benches to relax and enjoy the scenery. A former threshing barn has been turned into an indoor badminton court next door that Barn Cottage guests are welcome to use.

Brayford sits in a highly picturesque corner of North Devon, bounded by green fields and woodlands in a steep-sided valley carved by the River Bray that flows through the village. The nearest town for groceries is South Molton, whilst Barnstaple, which serves as North Devon’s commercial centre, is about a 20-minute drive.

Nearby Exmoor National Park boasts endless walking trails full of photogenic scenery, whilst further afield lies the North Devon coast with its beautiful sandy beaches and dramatic cliffs.
