At Blare Cottage, you can experience the best of what North Devon offers its visitors in search of a relaxing, memorable holiday at any time of the year. Not only is this pretty family friendly holiday home located within the stunning countryside it is also only a few miles from the glorious coastline home to some of the country's best beaches, including Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton Sands.
Sleeping up to four in two bedrooms, this really is the perfect rural coastal cottage for either a family or a couple.
Tastefully decorated throughout, the cottage is split over two levels. On the ground floor, the cottage has a bright and spacious open plan living area, which has a comfy lounge featuring two reclining sofas, a well-equipped kitchen and a dining area. Within the kitchen, guests will find everything they need for a self-catering holiday, including a fridge, an electric oven, a dishwasher and a washer/dryer.
On the first floor, there are two nice bedrooms, a double and twin, both of which have plenty of storage facilities. There is also a family bathroom with a combined shower/bath, a WC and a wash-basin.
To the front of the cottage, there is a terrace area with chairs for relaxing, and guests have access to the onsite communal facilities, which include two well-stocked fishing lakes (bring your own rods) and a children's play area.
Please note Blare Cottage is one of six cottages at Lower Aylescott; it can be booked on its own or with one or more of the other onsite cottages.
Lower Aylescott is ideally located for exploring North Devon with the coast only a short drive away. Take a stroll along the South West Coast Path or ride a bike on the Tarka Trail to see some of the stunning scenery and local wildlife.
For children, there are several excellent attractions within easy reach, including The Big Sheep, Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park and Exmoor Zoo. Alternatively, there is Arlington Court and RHS Rosemoor close by.
Blare Cottage sits on the edge of West Down, which has a handy village shop and pub. Further places to eat and shop can be found at Woolacombe, Ilfracombe and Braunton.
