Keepers Lodge is a luxurious 5-star self-catering retreat in the peaceful village of Knowstone, North Devon. It is perfect for up to 4 guests and is located near Exmoor National Park. This charming cottage combines modern luxury with the timeless appeal of a 16th-century thatched longhouse.

The lodge was once a cowshed but has been transformed into spacious and inviting accommodation ideal for families or couples seeking a peaceful countryside getaway. It is part of a historic Grade II listed building that features traditional elements such as exposed wooden beams and an inviting inglenook fireplace, which perfectly complement the contemporary furnishings and modern amenities.

Upon arrival, guests will be greeted by the warmth and comfort of the open-plan living space. It features a cosy inglenook fireplace with a wood-burning stove, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploration. The living area is tastefully furnished with comfortable sofas, providing the perfect setting for relaxation or socialising with loved ones. A sizable dining table offers ample space for enjoying home-cooked meals or planning the day’s adventures.

The lodge has two spacious ensuite bedrooms, each thoughtfully designed to ensure a restful night’s sleep. The master bedroom, “Luscombe Pine,” features a grand four-poster bed and antique furnishings, creating an atmosphere of elegance and sophistication. The ensuite bathroom is equipped with both a shower and a bath, providing guests with the option for a leisurely soak or a refreshing shower. Across the hall, the second double bedroom, “Billy Down Pippin,” offers a vaulted ceiling and an eclectic mix of colonial furniture, adding character and charm to the space. Both bedrooms provide a tranquil retreat, allowing guests to recharge and rejuvenate amidst the serene surroundings of the North Devon countryside.
