Bwythyn-y-Wennol, Abersoch

Families and couples are perfectly catered for in these delightfully renovated stone cottages in North Wales. The contemporary homes can be booked together or separately, promoting relaxation with their well-maintained gardens and views of nearby farmland.

The property which houses the two cottages features traditional stone walls, and farmlands surround the homestead. The interior has been renovated to bring the house into the 21st century, and guests can enjoy the comfort of a full kitchen and laundry, TV and DVD player, as well as Wi-Fi and off-road parking. The central heating allows the cottages to be enjoyed at any time of the year, and summer is the perfect time to use the BBQ.

Bwythyn-y-Wennol in the County of Gwynedd is only a short walk to the seaside town of Abersoch, where dining and entertainment options can be found to suit the whole family. The town of Abersoch also overlooks the sea and a seemingly endless stretch of sandy beaches, which are safe for swimming and many other water sports.

Walkers will be well satisfied with the views along the Llyn Coastal Path and will be delighted and challenged on the trails of Snowdonia, which is a short drive from the property.

The adventures don’t end there. Dotted along the Llyn Peninsula’s scenic coastline are fantastic cycling routes, famous links golf courses, boundless sea and coarse fishing opportunities, and boat trips to Bardsey Island. Bwythyn-y-Wennol is also within a short drive of the Italian-influenced Port Meirion Village.

Great cottage in a lovely location !

The staff at Sykes cottages were always very friendly and helpful. The cottage is in a lovely setting with fantastic views and is very peaceful. The inside of the cottage is well planned and very nicely fitted out. In the kitchen there is everything you could possibly need, including picnic plates etc for eating outside.
We had a great time and will definitely book the cottage again. Even the weather was great and it was October!

Isolation, yet civilisation is only a short walk away lovely sunrises and amazing sunsets. Abersoch is quaint with interesting shops and lots of beautiful beaches. As I said We Will Be Back !

Fab cottage

This excellent cottage is just 10 minutes walk from the beach and local shops. It is in a great location on the outskirts of the village with far reaching views and cattle and sheep in the surrounding fields a great location to strike out on foot or on bikes. It has plenty designated parking. Very quiet 24/7. It is well kitted out in a tasteful way with full size comfy beds. The owner was lovely so all in all I would totally recommend this cottage and would go back.

Stunning

Beautiful cottage and location. The beach is only ten minutes walk, a little hilly for those who struggle with walking but we loved it. The cottage is located on farm land with cows and sheep, the cows would come to the fence which was lovely. The weather was great a little hazey in the morning but soon blew over. Come home with a nice tan as if we had been abroad. Our little boy (3.1/2 yrs) enjoyed every minute of it. We will be returning.

Simply Fantastic

A great cottage and a great location. The cottage is small, but plenty big enough for our family of four. Set in it's own little Welsh oasis, with fields full of very friendly cows and sheep which the children named and loved!

One way it is a 10 minute walk into Abersoch (a little longer on the way back as it is up hill!) and the other way is a 15 minute walk to a great pub called the Sun Inn.

Beaches are a 5 minute drive, with Abersoch beach in walking distance.

A great holiday had in a fantastic cottage - we will return!

Fabulous holiday

We've just spent the best week away ever. The cottage is lovely, cosy and compact. Has everything you would need on a self catering holiday. Spotlessly clean and beautifully renovated and equipped. Really peaceful apart from the odd cow and sheep! 10 mins walk into town and same to ask the beaches.
We had the best weather of the year and visited all the local areas. Fabulous holiday!

Great cottage in beautiful Abersoch

We needed accommodation for a wedding in Llanegan and this was a great location, only 15 mins walk from the village (same to Abersoch in other direction). Property was very clean and well equipped with stunning views of the beautiful countryside and lots of sheep and cows as direct neighbours.

There is a single and twin bedroom next to the entrance, with a good bathroom. Up some stairs is the very spacious kitchen, and lounge. Stairs lead up to the double master bedroom, though it is a shame they could not have squeezed in an en-suite or WC as it is a bit of a traipse down to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

Please note that phone signal is challenging in this part of rural Wales. It was a shame there was no internet in the cottage as we struggled to communicate with the rest of the wedding guests. We also found it odd that bed linen was provided, but no towels.

This is a stunning part of the UK and Sian was a great host for this lovely building which has been sympathetically resorted from former farm buildings.

Good rural outlook from cottage and pleasant garden to have a BBQ etc.

Mrs Sykes

Fantastic views around property and although only few minutes walk to Abersoch you felt a long way away when at cottage so felt very private. Brilliant location.

Miss Rawnsley

A good finished barn conversion in a quiet area with good access to the local village. A good family cottage close to quality beaches and watersports. Easy walk to all amenities.

Mr Foster

The property is newly refurbished to a high standard and well furnished. Rabbits, sheep and birds on your door step. Lovely country views, remote but close enough to civilisation. Amazing beaches, lots of steam trains and Portmeirion.

Mr Chadwick

We stayed at Bwythyn-y-Wennol recently and had the most fantastic family holiday week there. The cottage was beautifully presented in a lovely location, with all the amenities that you could possibly need. We spent three days on the beach which was sandy and very clean and the children loved body-boarding in the waves! Snowdonia is an hours drive away and provides lots of alternative activities to the beach.

Mr Harris

Great situation - walking distance to beaches and town. Lovely cottage - very clean and spacious with lovely modern decor and feeling to it. Safe for children to play in - they particularly liked being close to the farm!

Ms Greenwood

Excellent! Enjoyed Abersoch immensely. Cottage in a good position.

Mrs McNulty

Cottage and Location excellent, visit Abersoch at least twice a year and will definitely be going back. The location and views fantastic for anyone wishing for a quiet and peaceful holiday yet central to the amenities and beaches of Abersoch. Loved the layout of the cottage, over 3 storeys with the patio looking onto the fields.

Ms Dodsworth

Bwythyn-y-Wennol was of a very high standard and in a good location.

Mr Toole

We loved everything about this holiday, the house was fantastic. The setting was beautiful especially watching the lambs. It was my husband's first time in Abersoch and mine in 28 years, so it was a special trip for us both. It was so enjoyable, it really was. I will be going back there again this year
because we enjoyed everything about our holiday.

Mrs Dwyer

This was our second visit to the cottage and again it did not disappoint. It is very well looked after and well equipped. Its location is great. We will be back again!

Mrs Foster

The whole week was great, the cottage lovely and got lucky with the weather.

Mrs Smith

The cottage was set in beautiful surroundings. My 2 year old son particularly liked the fact he could wake up every morning and see sheep and cows from his bedroom window. We enjoyed the spacious accommodation too and the location was fantastic with plenty of beaches, scenic walks, shops and amenities near by.

Miss Fell

Lovely cottage, peaceful location, enjoyed relaxing in the outside space.

Mr Corbett

The location was superb and the cottage excellent - one of our best holidays.

Mrs Tanner

Good location for so many excellent beaches. Views over farmland were good and there was lots of wildlife.

Mrs Lomax

Exceptionally clean and well-kept. Modern and finished to a very high-standard. Warm and comfortable. Sky TV a real bonus and great feature! Fantastic location.

Miss Robinson

The cottage was perfect.

Mr Davies

The cottage is set in a peaceful, secluded area. The kitchen was well equipped and it was great to have central heating. Loved Abersoch village and the beaches and would like to return.

Miss Kynaston

A well equipped cottage in a very convenient location.

Mrs Bond

Overall excellent weekend, will probably book again later in the year.

Mr Aston

The location of the property was excellent, and was within walking distance of Abersoch and within driving distance of the attractions in Snowdonia and the Llyn Peninsula. It was quiet and peaceful, making for a relaxing holiday. The amenities were excellent, and given the seasonal weather it was warm and comfortable.

Mr Harris

A lovely cottage in a great location. It was very spacious and in a scenic setting.

Mrs Simpson

A beautiful cottage which was immaculately clean and in a lovely location. The children enjoyed greeting the cows over the fence every morning and would most definitely stay here again and would recommend it. The location was perfect for us, it was in easy walking distance to the beach and amenities. A beautiful setting.

Mrs Gorton

The cottage is beautiful, spotlessly clean and fresh. Lovely setting, really tranquil. Its well appointed as well with virtually everything you could need.

Mrs Upton

The cottage was the perfect spot for our first family holiday. It is only a 15 minute walk into Abersoch downhill. The surrounding countryside is beautiful with lots of easy walks along country lanes. The resident cows and sheep in the field next door were very friendly too! We will definitely be returning in the future and would highly recommend this to families looking for the perfect break.
