Loughborough has not lost its identity as a traditional Leicestershire market town, and markets are held every Thursday and Saturday with more than 100 stalls selling everything from fresh produce to clothes. There are five museums where you can delve into the history of Loughborough’s bell foundry, railway, geology and industry. Every November a fair is held in the streets of Loughborough with rides, live entertainment and great food, and the Loogabarooga Festival welcomes authors and illustrators from around the world.
