A great Christmas.

A very warm and friendly owner which very much reflected in her cosy comfy cottage. We spent Christmas there and wanted for nothing. So much to see and do in the area. An abundance of real ale pubs and loved the local mussels. The wild life flying in and out was a spectacular sight. Very much look forward to returning.

A gem!

This delightful, contemporary cottage is a real gem. Tucked off the High Street in Heacham it is handy for all the local shops and pubs as well as being a perfect base for bird watching sites in the area. The owners have gone the extra mile in providing luxurious soft furnishings and leaving the cupboards stocked with basic essentials from washing powder to fresh milk and fruit. There were even Molton Brown hand creams and shower gels!
Heacham may not be picturesque but it has some fine buildings, especially round the church and it is a great base for the area.

Beautiful Cottage and setting

Brilliant Holiday!

The owner was very helpful and friendly and she left us basic requirements to begin our stay - milk, bread etc.The cottage was very clean and well kept with everything we needed including DVD player & films.
It was very near to local amenities including a newspaper shop, fish & chip shop, Tesco Extra, Community Library with internet access. The cottage was not facing the main road but at right angles. Space to park.
Also near Rspb bird reserve, sea and countryside.

Chill-out perfection

A charming, beautifully clean and well-appointed one-bedroom cottage in a quiet part of Heacham village. Hardly any road noise at all, even though technically on the High Street, but still close to Post Office, newsagent and other local shops. Very convenient to have a newly opened Tesco Express 5 minutes walk away at the end of the road, so no need to take any food with you.
The cottage was lovely and cool in the recent hot weather, with thick walls and stone tile flooring throughout the ground floor. The front door opens into a good sized sitting room, with a comfortable leather sofa and armchair and a big flat-screen TV, along with DVD player and a selection of films and books too. Lovely little kitchen, nice fitted wooden units with granite tops and plenty of storage, deep sink and an electric cooker, kettle and toaster. Through the kitchen to a utility area with the boiler, big cupboard, big fridge/freezer and microwave. Up a curving staircase to a double bedroom with two good sized wardrobes, set of drawers and a smaller TV. Small landing area (ideal for storing cases etc) and a well appointed bathroom, toilet, sink and shower.
What we really appreciated about this property is that the owner ensures that everything is supplied - condiments, bin bags, kitchen/toilet rolls, range of olive oils, tea and coffee, washing up liquid, soaps, hand creams - you name it we didn't need to take it or buy it! In addition there was a nice welcome bowl with fresh fruit, chocolate biscuits and a big carton of milk.
A perfect place to chill out in the little garden, not overlooked at all, or as a base to explore the surrounding area (and there's plenty to see and do). Off-road parking in front of the garden fence too, which is a bonus in a busy village.
We had a lovely chill-out week here and would be more than happy to come back or recommend it to anyone else - 10/10 !

It was nice to arrive and find a number of items already in place, milk, sugar, tea, coffee and fruit a really nice touch and most welcome after a 2.5 hour journey. Lovely cottage

Lovely cottage in a great location in Heacham with its own parking place, a real bonus in this part of the world. It is well equipped and well presented and an ideal base for visiting North Norfolk. There is also another cottage next door which sleeps four people, so could be rented at the same time for a larger party. The front courtyard garden is a real sun trap, lovely to relax in this peaceful area.

Fantastic cottage

We stayed at Kath's Cottage in June this year, our second visit having stayed in 2014. A really impressive accommodation with wonderful stone floors and an excellent fully fitted kitchen. Upstairs there is a lovely bedroom that looks out onto the High Street and the bathroom, though small is beautifully finished with a great shower. No room for a bath but that omission takes nothing away from the quality surroundings. Stairs are narrow and steep but that is only to be expected in a cottage of it's age but it didn't bother us and we are a couple in our 60's. Just to add that next door, Cassie's Cottage is equally as impressive and has a second bedroom. We stayed here from the end of August into September. In my personal opinion, nobody could fault anything in either of these two cottages, they are comfort personified.

Gerard G

The decor and furnishings were all very good quality. The extra touches, such as milk and tea and condiments were handy. The owner was very friendly too and helpful.

Mr Guthrie

The cottage is beautiful, set in a very picturesque and convenient location within Heacham village. Everything about the cottage is clean and attractive and the finish is to a very high standard. The extra touches of fruit, tea, coffee, sugar, etc. were very much appreciated.

Mrs Nobbs

From first contacting Sykes to leaving the property behind our overall experience was truly excellent. The accommodation exceeded our expectations. The cottage has been sympathetically renovated to a very high standard while maintaining its character. The overall cleanliness of the property was of a very high standard. The furnishings were very comfortable and again to a high standard. Congratulations and a big thanks to the owners for letting us share this property for a short time. We certainly will be returning!

Ms Herd

Overall standard and location of the cottage was excellent. Everything provided. The owner was friendly, but left us in peace.

Mr Jennings

This was the first time we had rented a cottage and we found the week very restful and delighted in the fact that we could do what we wanted when we wanted. The location was good and the local amenities were to our liking. Our landlady was very pleasant and helpful.

Mrs Berry

Kath's Cottage was lovely with loads of nice extras such as toiletries and basic kitchen supplies! We hope to go again! It was a really good cottage and we will book more with you in the future.

Mrs Kelly

The cottage was a fantastic little hideaway in a peaceful, friendly village location. The owner had left us milk and flowers and the standard of the property was superb. I think it must have been very recently completely refurbished and it was a beautifully presented cottage. We couldn't have wished for better and would recommend it highly to others.
