Daffodil Cottage is a stone barn conversion situated on the owner’s smallholding in the remote hamlet of Houlsyke, near Danby in North Yorkshire. Daffodil offers spectacular views and cosy accommodation for couples seeking a rural retreat for a self-catering holiday on the North York Moors.
This romantic cottage exudes warmth and character, featuring exposed timbers, stripped floorboards and sloping ceiling in the bedroom.
The open plan sitting area boasts a warming wood-burner to snuggle around on cool evenings, as well as fitted kitchen, dining area, two TVs with Freeview, and access to the owner’s washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer in an outside utility room.
This pet-friendly cottage is nestled in the beautiful Esk Valley amidst North York Moors National Park. The nearby village of Danby features two pubs, a bakery and the National Park Visitor Centre at Danby Lodge, as well as the only remaining working water mill on the River Esk.
Guests can ride the scenic Esk Valley Railway from Danby to the historic port town of Whitby, with its picturesque harbour, sandy beaches and famous Abbey.
