Sleeps 11

The Station House

Converted from a stationmaster’s house, The Station House maintains many original features, from its high ceilings to its stain glass windows.

From entry, guests are greeted to grand sitting room surrounding an open fireplace with a wood burner stove, quaintly decorated in duck egg blues and bathed in the natural light that comes from the bay windows, offering panoramic views of its Ruswarp village setting.

Further on is the traditional farmhouse style kitchen, complete with both all modern electrical appliances as part of the suite, as well as a standalone Aga. The room is complete with a small breakfast table and armchair, and leads to a separate utility room. Further downstairs is another sitting room with a pure slate open fireplace and gas fire, as well as the spacious dining room seating up to ten. Completing the ground floor is a small shower room.

On the first floor are two of the five bedrooms and the family bathroom, with one double and one family room complete with en-suite for the children. The second floor holds two further single bedrooms and another double. Outside are two enclosed courtyards perfect for relaxing, if you decide to not explore the Moors or coast.
