A long-ago goat barn and now a lovingly renovated stone-built conversion, The Goat Shed in the rural hamlet of High Normanby, North Yorkshire, offers couples on holiday in the north of England an unrivalled romantic getaway.

This pet-friendly cottage retains much of its original character, with exposed timber, flagged floors and a beautiful vaulted ceiling in the sitting area. Decorated and furnished to a very high standard, The Goat Shed features an open-plan living area with kitchen, dining area, sitting area with sofa bed and electric stove, and double bedroom.

This romantic cottage includes a small gravelled area with garden furniture and sits amongst farm buildings near a woodland area that affords excellent walking opportunities, including nearby coastal paths and trails.

High Normanby is situated close to the coastal towns of Robin Hood’s Bay and Fylingthorpe, providing guests an excellent base for exploring both the Yorkshire coast and North York Moors National Park. Nearby Whitby features glorious sandy beaches and its famous abbey.
