Fisherman's Cottage
Sleeps 6

Fisherman's Cottage

A rare combination of contemporary chic and traditional character spoils guests at Fisherman’s Cottage. The stone-built coastal cottage in Seahouses lies a short walk from the harbour and the beautiful coastline of Northumberland. Pets welcome.

Timber beams and furnishings feature throughout the seaside cottage, including the two double bedrooms and the twin room, which contain reminders of yesteryear. The modern bathroom includes a bath, shower over, basin and WC; the traditional character is evident in the open plan living area.

The archway of the ultra-modern kitchen connects to the dining area and sitting room, which is truly charming with its exposed beams, ample windows and electric fire set in stone surround. This space invites relaxation with its décor and the TV with Freeview and DVD player.

Visitors to Fisherman’s Cottage can also count on laundry facilities, central heating, WiFi, amenities for young children and space for one pet. Paid parking is available nearby.

The well-presented cottage is situated within the pretty village of Seahorses in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It provides guests access to miles of sandy beaches, water sports, and boat trips to the bird sanctuary and seal colony of the famous Farne Islands.

Lovely central cottage

We stayed here in september 2013, me and my partner,my mam and dad and brother his partner... Cottage looks much nicer that the photo on sykes website as there is new door and looks fab...
Inside very spacious sitting room, with sofa and table and chairs, lovely fire and flat screen tv... Kitchen fully equiped and fab... upstairs there is 3 bedrooms and 2 are double the other twin room... Nice bathroom but felt when 6 of us there was bit hard sorting when to use bathroom for shower etc... but when some people went wasnt as bad...
The only downside I would say is that there is no outside area, so cant kjust sit outside and relax, the front is straight onto street and the back just an area with bins etc ...
Apart from that we cant complain and would think about returning next year

Best Holiday Rental

Sykes cottage proved to be one of the nicest holiday rentals in which we have stayed. It is well
equipped, spacious and comfortable. The location, althought seemingly in a small road of terraced cottages, proved to be exceptional with views of the Harbor, Bamburgh Castle and the Farned Islands being only one minutes walk away.

Highly recommended.

Comfortable cottage, 3 double bedrooms, central location ideal f

The accommodation was very central to Seahouses village and all local amenities.
The cottage was clean, tidy and nicely presented with everything you require for a comfortable stay.
I would definately come again.

Only negative comment would be the parking. A neighbour has space for one car, otherwise you need to use public car parks.

most memorable holiday

The service was 1st class, my wife is disabled and on oxygen 24 hrs a day.Mrs Jackson ensured the delivery and collection of the oxygen. She showed concern over our well being during our stay.
The cottage was excellent for our needs, nice and clean and tidy with ample room to cater for my wife's needs.
The cottage was on the doorstep of all local amenities, two minutes and you where at the shops and in the evening to the night life.
I can't fault our holiday as everything from the cottage to the amenities to the weather was all you could ask for.

Alan Lambert

My son says it was awesome!!

lovely well kept house close to all amenities and attractions

Well situated in the town and although it was a town it was very quiet and peaceful. Not what you would imagine if you live in or near a town yourself. The cottage was very clean and spacious with everything you could possibly need. the beach was no more than five minutes away which more than made up for the property having no outside area of its own.

Absolutely lovely

Cottage had a lovely feel when we first arrived. Really cosy & warm. Bedrooms all chintzy heaven & really comfy, we slept well which is rare in a strange bed! Central for everything. Only downside is no parking.

Top Class Stay

This property was just as described. It was very clean and tidy with all the facilities you would need. The property is well situated for getting into the town. The only minus point for it was the parking. Although a parking voucher was provided for the car park, the car park was a good 10 minutes walk away from the cottage. Other than this the cottage is everything you would want from a holiday let.

Comfortable, quiet and relaxing

A well equipped cottage in a quiet street close enough to the village centre to not have to worry about the walk. No car parking close by but that didn't impact negatively on our stay. We just felt really comfortable there and hope to return.
