Large families and groups seeking a holiday in the northern edge of the Cotswolds can enjoy a stay at Suncroft near the Warwickshire village of Shotteswell, a quaint thatched cottage perfect for up to eight guests.

This Grade II-listed child-friendly cottage dates to the 17th century and welcomes guests of all ages as well as your furry friends. Built of brick and featuring cosy interiors in muted tones and traditional furnishings, guests can take in the original features, beautiful beams, and an inglenook fireplace that make Suncroft a welcoming holiday home.

The country-style kitchen comes complete with modern fixtures, including a side-by-side fridge/freezer and washer/dryer. Whip up sumptuous meals to serve at the dining table with seating for eight or outside on the balcony whilst taking in views of the garden and surrounding rolling countryside. The sitting area features comfy couches surrounding the fireplace and large flat-screen TV.

Upstairs, two king bedrooms and a double accessible via the master bedroom or a spiral staircase off the dining area allows guests to spread out comfortably throughout this large cottage. The master bath features a large tub, whilst the second bathroom has a walk-in shower.

Suncroft is situated within walking distance of Shotteswell with its pub and village hall. Scenic walks through splendid Warwickshire countryside beckon in all directions, whilst the parish is bounded on three sides by Oxfordshire. The nearby market town of Banbury is home to Spiceball Country Park along the River Cherwell, or you can take in the county town of Warwick and visit historic Warwick Castle or enjoy one of the town’s several annual festivals.
