cottage was much bigger than picture shows, very well appointed. The owners and locals very friendly - good advice on local places of interest ie oldest yew tree in local Britian in a local church grounds. For dog owners - you can walk the dogs all over the farm - lots of interesting places for them off their leads. Lots of places to visit \ walk.

Lovely & cosy cottage

The cottage is very clean and spacious. We all with 4 hearing dogs for Deaf People love this cottage, had a great time. Nice garden, but could not go into the garden very often due to ongoing raining! The TV is small and old, played the Wii on this TV, but have to be closer as the screen is quite small! The location was not too bad, but a lots of narrow roads and no shop near by. We have done a lots of walking, had a map from the cottage, but it wasn't clear as we got lost few times! Had a great lunch at Ironbridge.

Discovering Shropshire

The barn was very well furnished although I felt that the lower groundfloor bedroom did not have much drawer space for two people and the ensuite could have had a larger sink to enable you to wash if you did not use the shower. The steps down to the lower floor were rather steep and my elderly father found them difficult to use.On a plus point it was very comfortable and I liked the top floor bedroom with ensuite. It would have been nice to have wifi which comes in useful if you are planning a day out or need contact by email. However the owner was obliging if you needed to use their connection at the house. It was a lovely setting and easy to find.Just wish the weather could have been better!

A wonderful family holiday

This is truly the best cottage we have rented. The standard of fittings and fixtures was excellent. It was not like a holiday let but rather someones home.It had cookery books, games and toys. The boys loved the tennis court ,gocart ,snooker and table tennis. The nearby shops provided everything we required and eating out was also excellent. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Our two dogs also enjoyed their holiday

A true home from home!

The accommodation was extremely well equipped and most comfortable, it was the proverbial home from home. The location was great too perfect for visits to towns such as Shrewsbury, Ludlow, Much Wenlock and Church Stretton. The cottage is also in a great location for accessing footpaths, off-road cycling tracks and bridleways. The owner, Sara Jones, is extremely helpful and friendly.

Corn House Review

A lovely place for a family get together. Owner very helpful. Site well in the country and peaceful. The children loved the wandering chickens, the pigs and the tennis court. The go-karts were a success with the adult children too! Excellent butcher in Much Wenlock! Lovely countryside to visit.
We had a superb time and would love to go back another year.

An amazing time at the corn house

We have just stayed here for the bank holiday weekend for my 50th birthday we hired the corn house and the spinney retreat for our family and some friends as there was 12 of us altogether. We have had an amazing few days the house is brilliant there was plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen is really well equipped has everything you need, was a big help having two fridges in there to cope with all the food we took. Our bedroom was lovely plenty of room and storage space. Our grandchildren loved the play area and so did the adults playing Tennis and basketball and also going on the go karts shame weather wasn't a bit nicer. The men also spent a lot of time in the games rooms having competitons against each other. Our friends who stayed in the Spinney Retreat said how lovely and peaceful it was. Cant wait to go back again great place for us to all get together .

Great weekend away with Friends

A weekend away with friends, 2 families with children aged 6 to 14. Lovely quirky holiday house on different levels with lots of space. Own little garden with sun chairs and BBQ as well as the wider farm area. We were lucky with the weather and made use of the little boat, the farm walks and the games areas. Kids loved the go karts.

Fab large dinning table - would seat 12! Only think is the kitchen could probably do with a bit of updating / decluttering.

will definitely return.

Fantastic week

Absolutely fantastic week staying in corn house. Everything you need in one place with so many little finishing touches to make it so relaxing and enjoyable. The fresh flowers on the table and a plate of homemade cookies on arrival show that from the moment you arrive you wont be disappointed. All the necessities like washing up liquid, tea towels, toiletries and lots lots more were available. Everything is well maintained and looked after. My kids loved the go karts, tennis courts, rowing boat, play park, games rooms, brushing ponies, feeding pigs, picking fruit and collecting eggs. The cottage itself is very quirky with 3 levels and a typical farm house feel. We would definitley return again.

We will be back

We loved the Corn House, it is full of character and is comfortable and homely, lots to keep children entertained , games room and go-carts etc. Our grandchildren loved collecting eggs and feeding the pigs.

The kitchen is very well equipped and there is a beautiful dining room. All the bedrooms were very comfortable

The surrounding countryside is beautiful with lovely walks, the property is also very dog friendly.

The only negative is that because the property is split over three levels there are stone steps from the kitchen on the middle level down to the dining room, lounge level and ground floor bedroom level which could cause problems for anyone with mobility difficulties.

We will definitely be returning

NisaD

The property is beautiful and situated in a quiet location with absolutely no traffic noise. The owners were lovely and keen to let our girls ride the ponies. The pool room (as in snooker/pool not swimming) was a real hit in the evenings. The man-made pools on the farm are a lovely feature and provided tranquillity.

Mrs Bearne

What an absolute pleasure it was to spend a week in such wonderful surroundings not only the countryside but the barn itself was superb. Great thought had been taken when furnishing the property, and such helpful owners you could not ask for anything else. Fantastic food at the Longville Arms

Mr Edwards

Good accommodation, very quiet, nice patio area with barbecue, Royal Oak pub in Cardington v good food. Easy travelling distance to Shrewsbury & Ludlow.

Mr Kelly

Corn House was superb, we also had Turnip House which was also superb. Both properties were so well equipped, from towels and bedding to barbeque coals, toilet rolls, cleaning materials, dishwasher and a starter pack of wood for the fire. The best accommodation we have ever had.

Mrs Quinton

Sara was particularly welcoming and helpful with local information. Good walking from the door. We were allowed free access to the farm land with the dogs. Plenty of room so that we could all find our own space when we wanted to.

Mrs Davis

Property exceptional, probably the best equipped cottage we have ever stayed in. We shall return. The area was unfamiliar to us and we enjoyed exploring the area, Coalbookdale and Ironbridge are fascinating and the walking is wonderful, less well known than the Lakes or the Peaks but just as enjoyable.

Ms Gilbert

The standard of the accommodation was superb and the owners were extremely friendly and helpful. The best cottage we have experienced.

Mr & Mrs Wade

Over a wet winter week-end there was still plenty to see in the area a short car journey away.

Mr Rodgers

A very warm welcome from the owners and family. Great walks directly from the house. A really beautiful area.

Mr Horton

Space to wander was good e.g. Kite flying from paddock adjacent to house. View from garden (especially Turnip) was spectacular. Hills to see & inspire a walk.

Mr Wilson

The accommodation was excellent - allowing space and privacy for a large and varied party. The location was peaceful and handily located for country walks, pond dipping and real ale at the local pub. It was also a good centre for many of the historic sites of Shropshire. The owners were really helpful and the Corn house provided us with a beautiful and interesting setting for a very enjoyable & relaxing holiday!

Rev Butler

Fantastic property, we had 4 children all under the age of 4 and it was excellent for them, we couldn't get them out of the sand pit! The views were lovely from the property and the kids loved seeing the farm animals. We hope to visit there again.

Great location - peace and quiet! Lots to do locally for kids.

Dr Yong

The property was spacious and comfortable, the scenery was stunning and we enjoyed the pleasant walks along quiet roads. We also enjoyed our visits to Ludlow and the air museum at Cosford.

Mr Wood

We all thought the cottage one of the best we had stayed in. Excellent condition, welcoming owners, lovely countryside.

House was very child friendly and great for entertaining, we were a group of 7 friends and had a wonderful time. The Royal Oak Pub in nearby Cardington was a huge bonus, very friendly staff and great traditional pub food.... and best of all within walking distance!

Mrs Tanner

The accommodation was very comfortable, so therefore we were able to relax with our friends. The countryside was stunning. The restaurants in Ludlow excellent, part of our criteria for a good break.

Mrs Foster

Corn House is situated in a nice quiet area and is easily accessible. The attention paid to the needs of children is welcomed i.e. toys, games room, books etc.

Mr Macleod

The owner was particularly friendly and accommodating.

My husband was particularly impressed with your brochure - especially not having to go to the back of it to find the price.

Miss Watson

The accommodation was well located for visiting places of interest and was pretty much central to all major towns.

Mrs Hardy

Little touches like soap and shampoo in the bathrooms. There has been a lot of attention given to detail. Owners were also very friendly and welcoming.

Ms Tyson

Lovely house, friendly chickens and helpful owner - giving information about local amenities, places to visit etc. Plenty of space in the house - was just like home with nice decor etc.

Mrs Hudson

The cottage was extremely well presented with some lovely touches. It was very homely and there were no corners cut in relation to the facilities. The owners and their family were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were happy for the week. The local info was very useful and we spent lots of time enjoying the farm walks and lakes.

Mr Palmer

A fantastic, well presented cottage. Great entertainment with the pool table and table tennis.

Mrs Windeatt

Very lovely spacious property in a rural location, farm animals on site for the children to see and fresh eggs to collect. Great for a family weekend.

Mrs Church

This was a wonderful barn conversion. It had furnishings that made it feel like a home rather than a holiday home. The all weather tennis court was a hit with the boys and having the badminton net in the triple garage meant they could still keep busy if the weather was wet.

Mrs Cooke

The additional facilities not normally found with a holiday cottage - farm walks and animals, lake and rowing boat, games inc. tennis court, table tennis, go karts, snooker etc. We all - children and adults, had a great time!

Mr Walton

Proximity to good walking locations which was the main purpose of the holiday.

Mr Quick

We loved the location and the fact we were welcomed onto the farm and encouraged to interact with the farm animals. The children's play area was fantastic for kids of all ages (from 1 to 40!!). The owners who live in the main house were also very accommodating and helpful.

Mr Carling

The family who run the farm and the property make that extra special effort to ensure you enjoy your stay - pony rides for the children for example. This property is brilliantly equipped for family stays. It is a real home from home. So comfortable and cosy. Can't recommend it enough!

Ms Ingleby

The whole place was wonderful, didn't really need to go off site as there was sooo much to do at Corn House.

Miss Norris

A stunning complex of barn conversions.
The immense amount of space available meant still room to breathe, even with a lot of people in one dwelling.
The owners had thought of most every
eventuality, provided far more than we could have expected. So much for the children with us to do, and all within an amazing rural setting. Welcoming card and bottle of wine was a lovely touch, the home was all prepared for Christmas with a beautifully decorated tree.

Mr Pernet

Great accommodation and location. Loads to see and do very nearby. Great accessibility to countryside for cyclists, walkers and horseriders.

Mr Scowen

A lovely house with lots to do for the children. We were very comfortable in and out of the house. The children loved the tennis court and go-karts. The small children loved feeding the pigs and seeing the chickens. Surrounding countryside very attractive. Would love to go back next year.

Mrs Everitt

Beautiful area. Farmer and wife and family were very welcoming and friendly. Excellent facilities for everybody, and we were a mixed age group. We are seriously thinking of repeating the holiday again next year.

Mrs Whiten

Very spacious, well equipped property in a get away from it all location.

Mrs Barfield

It was comfortable, warm and spacious with everything we needed. The freedom to use the outdoor area and facilities was a welcome bonus. We felt welcome, and greatly enjoyed our stay.

Mrs Easton

It was a wonderful cottage which we would surely book again. The facilities were great and catered for our family from a 7 to a 70 year old. It was safe for the children to play out and use the go carts and tennis courts, they also liked collecting the fresh eggs from the hen house!

I would definitely recommend this cottage.

Ms Booth

Such a beautiful week in Corn House for my birthday with my family and dogs. Dogs absolutely loved running round grounds and didn't want to leave. Overwhelmed by the kindness of staff and how helpful they were. The kitchen and utensils could not be faulted, everything you would ever need and more. I would like to say a massive thank you for a very enjoyable stay by all.

The whole ambience was fantastic, a real home from home. The children could play outside without any worry for their safety, which allowed the adults to relax. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience and the attention to detail was second to none.
