Wrapped in the stone walls of a charming former stable is the compact and cosy Stable Cottage, located on a working farm in the North York Moors village of Levisham.
The pet-friendly holiday cottage near Pickering offers one bedroom and modern amenities for a relaxing holiday. The light and airy twin bedroom lie on the first floor, while the cosy sitting room forms part of the open-plan living area on the ground floor and boasts views of the garden.
In the sitting room, guests will find a TV, stereo/CD player, and space to truly relax. The kitchen has amenities for home-cooked meals and a dining area. WiFi, amenities for young children, central heating and off-road parking ensure a hassle-free holiday for couples and their fur babies.
Two dogs are welcomed at £15 per dog per week, and they will love the space to play in the shared walled garden, which includes a large grass area and a BBQ.
Varied shops and dining options abound in Levisham and the surrounding villages, such as Pickering and Whitby. Walking paths, the North York Moors Steam Railway, Levisham Beck and Cropton Forest are within a day’s drive of Stable Cottage.

A lovely cottage with lovely surrounding's, the beds were very comfy. Ideal for a holiday with your dogs. Cant wait for next year!!!
Good location
Very small cottage in a nice location. It includes everything you need to enjoy your holiday. Bath was a bonus after those long walks.
The cottage is not owned by Skye cottages but lilac cottages, Levisham, just google and you can see all 4 cottages which are available.

Comfortable cottage in a quiet village
Situated in a quiet country village with an friendly pub (The Horseshoe) serving excellent meals (note at this time of year the pub seems to be closed on Monday and Tuesdays). We had a warm welcome from the cottage owners, with a tray of home made cakes and tea/coffee. Stable cottage is cosy and warm although a larger sofa would be more comfortable. There was everything for a self catering holiday in the cottage and there is a large upright freezer in the shed next door, so if you want to take frozen food from home it is ideal. A walk down to the railway station provided lovely views but beware it is very steep coming back. If you are not a vegetarian, try to find Glaves butchers in Brompton by Sawden - excellent fresh meat and pies. We did most of our grocery shopping at Lidl in Pickering but there are also local markets worh a visit (we visited Northalerton on the way to Levisham and picked up fresh fruit/veg and bread from there.Hope everyone enjoys the area as much as we did.
The cottage was beautiful in a picturesque village.
An excellent centre from which to explore both the North Yorks Moors and Coastline. The owners were very attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend the holiday cottage and area.

A very quiet and peacefull location, good walks and locations close by. eg. York, Whitby and Pickering which we were lucky to arrive at on their World War2 weekend.
The location is excellent with plenty of walking from the door. A nice cosy warm cottage, which I would visit again.

Very friendly and helpful atmosphere with the family and whole village. Garden very pleasant. Local pub/restaurants friendly with excellent food. Great walking country, with wonderful views.
Peace like they invented it in North Yorks and never told anyone else. Our hosts were so welcoming yet you felt like it truly was your property for the week. A great base to relax in, and readers should try a quick drive to York then get on the park n ride. A very well run service, Monk's Cross is the closest terminal!

A very quiet village, a pub on the doorstep, the cottage had everything we needed. It was also in a good location for sightseeing.
Was a perfect retreat from a busy city life because of location but still near enough coast and villages to enjoy outings.

The location! The owners were very welcoming and helpful - but left you in peace to enjoy your holiday.
Ideal location with fantastic local views and wonderful pub/restaurant just at end of village. Position was good for walking in countryside and driving to all the seaside resorts. Overall everything was just what we wanted for our holiday.

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful scenic area. The moor, sea, York with its Minster and museums together with many country houses, gardens and castles all within easy reach make this a good holiday base.
The cottage is cosy and homely. The pub is in an ideal place, and meals were gorgeous. The views and walks were beautiful. Loved it, and would definitely go again.

The owner was friendly and helpful, the cottage was neat, clean and cosy. The dogs loved the run of the garden and the many walks from the door. Good sandy beaches at Whitby, Filey and Sandsend.
