Property Details

Hillcrest was conceived to replace an old workshop and make full use of the stunning countryside views from the highest point of the property. It was designed by the owner with assistance from her marvellous builders and engineers. The project unfolded from 2014 and has resulted in a beautiful, stylish modern holiday home.

The cottage has a 2 story glazed gable end, huge open plan living areas, and 2 lovely boutique hotel style, en-suite double bedrooms. Further guests can be accommodated on the 2 double sofabeds in the lounge area.

Included in the price, guests receive a welcome pack including complimentary wine, homemade bread, homemade jam, homemade chocolate biscuit cake, homemade biscuits, fresh fruit, fresh milk, orange juice and real coffee.

There is underfloor heating throughout and all modern conveniences from fully equipped utility room to the contemporary kitchen area with breakfast bar.

The views and gardens are very pretty encompassing 3 patio areas with outside dining seating to a patio lounge area for afternoon evenings with sofa style furniture.

The cottage location is perfect for exploring the Suffolk Heritage Coast region being roughly equidistant from Aldeburgh and Southwold.

Things to do in and around the area are Sutton Hoo Saxon burial grounds, RSPB at Minsmere (as seen on Springwatch 2014-16), Aldeburgh, Southwold, Snape Maltings, Birds of Prey Centre, Suffolk Punch Horses, Framlingham Castle, Orford Ness and Castle, Dunwich Heath, Rendlesham Forest and many coastal towns.

Pets and children (over 12 years old) are welcome.
