Puddle Cottage

Peaceful, Waterside Mill Conversion in the Warwickshire Countryside Sleeping 4. Pets Welcome

Immerse yourself in the tranquillity of this retreat, where French windows open onto a serene courtyard garden. Here, you can bask in the sun's warmth and savour an evening drink while enjoying an unspoilt view of the river and its bustling island, home to a myriad of wildlife just a few feet away. Please note that the mill stream makes Puddle Cottage unsuitable for unsupervised children, but we warmly welcome well-behaved pets. There is a secure garden area, but it does provide access to the mill stream. Step into a piece of history with our centrally heated accommodation, nestled within an 18th-century water mill. The cottage spans three floors, retaining its original charm, including exposed beams throughout. The ground floor boasts a fully fitted kitchen (with electric hob and oven), a dining area seating four, and a lounge space with a widescreen TV. Ascend to the first floor to discover a cosy double bedroom with a separate shower room/ WC. The top floor houses a versatile twin/double bedroom connected to an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath. We are delighted to help with any enquiries and local information and will always respect your privacy. In addition to basics, you will find a welcome hospitality gift, including fruit and flowers. Puddle Cottage is available for long and short stays. Changeover is on Fridays for weekly and weekend breaks, and mid-week breaks are Monday to Friday. Please do ask if you have any special dates that need accommodating. When possible, we are happy to be flexible.

Although it was a very short stay the cottage was very comfortable and the landscape and surroundings very picturesque. Would definitely recommend to my family and friends. We were made very welcome and loved our visit to Shipston and our day trip into London.

Perfect spot to explore Cotswolds!.

Must see's Hailes Abbey/Church for Medieaval wall apintings.

Bibury - for village, water, and trout. Do the drive from Bibury to Fossebridge for 'secret' villages.

And Bourton on the water for all things 'Cotswols' but follow the river Windrush for off the beaten track places.

Thanks for the lovely stay well equipped cottage. Great location.

Your cottage exceeded our expectations, the beauty, the garden, the facilities, fresh flowers, milk and chocolate in the fridge, and fresh fruit on the table. We don't have a lot of experience with Airbnb but we fear it may be downhill from here on. Both evenings the weather was good enough to have a braai (with an instant barbecue) 'cos we reckoned we will be indoors in Wales - so will do the pubs then.
Grateful thanks.

What can one say?

A beautiful cottage in perfect peaceful surroundings.
Sally & Jonathan make you so welcome with eggs & fruit (scones and crumble we made were delicious).
With the weather on our side we've seen some great places, recommend the Batsford Arboretum - stunning.
So glad we picked here.
The best way to destress from work all year.

Puddle Cottage Stay

We enjoyed our stay at Puddle Cottage and thank you both for the goodies you left for us on our arrival, a lovely and kind gesture.

Puddle Cottage is well placed in the Cotswolds, gave us everything we needed for a holiday with C and we found it to be a very well equipped holiday home with decent everything, not always what you find I'm afraid.

We hope you have many more guests over the years to enjoy your part of the country.

Thank you for having us to stay in your comfortable holiday home. We did enjoy our break and thought Tredington a lovely village. Thank you too for the welcome pack you gave us - it was much appreciated. I hope you did not find too many of O's dog hairs downstairs or in the garden. Thankfully her training was so good as a guide dog that she does not look to go upstairs or on the furniture - it is an on-going battle with her moulting though!

We had a good journey home on Tuesday stopping off at Goodrich where we did see the swallows you mentioned. One was in its nest as we walked through the entrance. We then visited Chepstow Castle before trundling our way back home. The girls were delighted with all the castles we managed to visit and are now planning their next expedition!

Christmas 2014

We just wanted to send you a quick note of thanks, (as we were very rushed when leaving), for our stay at Tredington. We thought it was particularly lovely that you had taken the time to put up Christmas decorations, and leave us lovely chocolates and supplies - we really appreciated all of this.

We loved the cottage and thought it very pretty, and we had everything we needed - a great stay and Christmas day went very well. We stay in cottages several times a year and this was one of the loveliest stays we have had.

Photos

Beautiful cottage - the photos don’t really do justice to how lovely the setting is. Stayed with our two boys and it was the perfect place to base ourselves for a weekend to visit family in Birmingham and then explore the surrounding areas the following day. Jonathan handled the check in from outside the cottage while maintaining social distancing, and the cottage was nice and clean, so we also felt safe staying there.

We've enjoyed a lovely stay at Puddle Cottage.
The cottage itself was very clean and comfortable. The garden area provided a beautiful and relaxing setting to enjoy a morning cuppa and an evening glass of wine.
Centrally located, it provided a great base to explore the Cotswolds.

Just as last year we all had a fantastic well needed peaceful break, especially after being so pporly. The cats settled in well again and it's been the best week we've had since last year's holiday. Much has changed with health issues in the family but the peace, tranquility, and serenity hasn't. Thank you for your welcome gifts and sharing your cottage.
Much love.
PS To the next people spiders were eaten so one less thing to be scred of LOLX
