Searching for an enchanting rural retreat on Dartmoor? Rose Cocoon offers the perfect getaway for families looking to holiday in West Devon.

Tucked in amongst the barns and farmhouse on the owner’s organic farm, guests will enjoy the bountiful countryside walks and wholesome meals available to them at this rural cottage. Rose Cocoon boasts wood panelling, beautiful antiques, and landscape paintings that reflect the homey environment and traditional English vibe that the owner hoped to create.

While you’re far from home enjoying a rustic lifestyle, this pet-friendly, luxury holiday cottage still offers plenty of modern amenities, including access to a gym and spa, luxury toiletries, and swimming pool. The fabulous sitting room features a fireplace, comfy sofa and armchairs, and flat-screen TV with DVD player, whilst the well-equipped kitchen boasts a country dining table with seating for six, or take your meals in the conservatory with views onto the garden.

The master bedroom fills with natural light and features garden views and super-king bed, whilst the second bedroom with two singles is perfect for families with children. Two bathrooms, one with walk-in shower, complete the floor-plan.

Tavistock dates to the 10th century and holds World Heritage status as a gateway to picturesque Dartmoor National Park, well-known for its unique and breath-taking landscape. Golfers can enjoy a quick round at Hurdwick, a par-69 parkland course, or Yelverton, nestled amidst the moorland, with Dartmoor ponies and cattle occasionally sharing the fairways.

Further afield, the port city of Plymouth on Sutton Harbour is a half-hour drive away or spend the day with the family at Dartmoor Zoo.
