In an idyllic valley between the Brendon Hills and the wilds of Exmoor, Harthanger View Cottage in the remote Somerset village of Luxborough offers comfortable self-catering accommodation for up to four guests.

This pet-friendly, isolated property recently converted from a barn into a holiday cottage, is situated on a working farm. Keep a close eye on your dog, as there will be livestock in the immediate vicinity—a nearby field is free of stock and perfect for exercising your pet.

The ground floor features an open-plan living area consisting of a fully fitted kitchen with breakfast area, a small dining area, and a sitting room with two comfy leather sofas, a flat-screen TV, and wood wood-burning stove.

Leading off the living room is a master bedroom with a king-size bed and en-suite with a bath and separate shower. The centrepiece of the living room is a spiral staircase leading up to a mezzanine area with two single beds and an en-suite.

To the rear of this farm, the cottage sits a newly completed patio with a picnic table and barbecue, as well as an enclosed private garden. The farm offers modern stabling facilities in a recently converted American barn, with a washdown area, a large secure tack room with drying facilities, and individual turnout paddocks upon request, all with direct access to excellent hacking along the famous Coleridge Way bridle path.

Enjoy a night out at the Royal Oak Inn in the pretty village of Luxborough, whilst a short drive away, the medieval village of Dunster, with its numerous shops and amenities, awaits.

Both lie within Exmoor National Park, a unique landscape of moorland, woodland, and valleys shaped by people and nature over the centuries.
