  1. Walk the Wye Valley Walk: This 136-mile trail follows the River Wye from its source in mid-Wales to the mouth at Chepstow. You can choose to do the whole route or just a section of it.

  2. Go canoeing or kayaking: The River Wye is one of the best places in the UK for canoeing and kayaking, with plenty of companies such as  Ross-on-Wye Canoe Hire offering guided trips, canoe and equipment hire.

  3. Explore the Forest of Dean: This ancient woodland is a great place for hiking, mountain biking, and wildlife spotting. You can also take a guided tour of the forest or go on a Segway adventure.

  4. Visit Tintern Abbey: This ruined abbey is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the area, with stunning views of the River Wye and plenty of history to explore.
