This is taken from our visitor book. 'What can I say but fantastic. Our stay here has been perfect and I wish it could have been longer. Such a lovely area and beautiful walks for not only us but our dogs too. Locals have been friendly. To the owners of here - what a lovely home and so well catered for. We will definitely be returning. To the farmers who also worked round the clock and friendly. Thank you.

Perfect for a large or extended family or group of friends, with a downstairs bedroom and en-suite shower room Threshers Barn sleeps 6 with two further bedrooms upstairs, both with en-suites. Master bedroom has a king size bed and further bedroom upstairs has twin beds. Downstairs the beds are zip and link so can be twin or super-king double. Full-size cot upstairs.
The downstairs is open plan with large kitchen and extending dining table seating up to 14, perfect if sharing with other of our cottages. (We can sleep 21 in total with a wheelchair accessible cottage also). The kitchen contains full-size cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. TV and DVD. CD/Radio. Enclosed courtyard garden overlooking fields to the rear of the barn with BBQ and picnic table.
Pets are very welcome and we do not have a restriction on the number. There are footpaths from the garden across the fields and further beyond, connecting to long-distance footpaths too.
Also within the courtyard setting we have a Games room with snooker, table tennis, table football and darts board. A large toy box for younger visitors, board games, jigsaws, books and OS maps of the surrounding area can all be found here.
A laundry room is attached to the Games room with dryer and ironing facilities.
For those interested in coarse fishing we have fishing lakes a couple of miles from the cottages in a delightful location with far reaching views along the Axe valley. Stocked with carp, tench, and bream to at least 10lb.
Although Bakers Mill is situated in a very green and lush valley with only a few other farms dotted about, there is a village shop less than a mile distant down the country lane and a pub. There is another pub a couple of miles away on the edge of a very picturesque historic village with superb far reaching views. Both are dog-friendly and serve good food.
Threshers Barn is a 20-minute drive from the Jurassic Coast with Bridport and West Bay being the nearest points. Dorchester and Yeovil are both about the same distance away, with Lyme Regis, Charmouth, and Sherborne being about 30 minutes. There are numerous historic houses, villages and gardens to visit in the area.
Threshers is an idyllic countryside cottage for exploring West Dorset, East Devon and South Somerset with all their historic towns and the Heritage Jurassic Coast.

A wonderful cottage in beautiful surroundings. The cottage is very well equipped, plenty of space for six of us and four dogs. The games room was a real added bonus, best holiday ever, according to my ten year old son. I will definitely return.
